The project “Digital History of Virtual museums” is conducted by Associate Professor Nadezhda Povroznik as a visiting researcher supported by the Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2DH) at the University of Luxembourg.

This project focuses on the study of the history of virtual museums, highlighting stages of their development in the digital age. Based on a study of snapshots of virtual museums stored in web archives, it investigates the key characteristics of virtual museums and data modeling for analyzing resources as a form of online history.

On the website, you will find the main results of the project, five significant case studies of virtual museums, infographics, and the list of useful links on resources online.
